After passing its turn in 2020, the 6000D is in the starting blocks for its 31st edition. From a unique demanding race at the start, offering a winning ticket for a trip from the apple trees to the glacier, it has become a 9-race event that allows up-and-coming trail runners to make their mark.
The organisers have also announced the creation of a new marathon-sized race covering 42 km and 2100 m elevation gain.
Whatever your choice of race, the promise of a sporting exploit will go hand-in-hand with the convivial atmosphere, a trademark dear to the 6000D!
The 9 races:
6000D – 67 km / 3400m elev. gain
The main event brings together over 1000 runners for a return trip between the valley and the glacier
6000D 2-person relay – 67 km / 3400m elev. gain
6D Marathon – 42 km / 2000m elev. gain
A midway alternative between the legendary 6000D and the 6D Lacs, in more rolling terrain at a lower altitude, with the highest point at 2300 metres. The runners start on the 6000D route with an alternative ascent to the Lac des Blanchets, where they branch off towards Belle Plagne before re-joining the downward itinerary to Aime.
6D Lacs – 28 km / 1500m elev. gain
6 Découverte – 11 km / 600m elev. gain
6D Verticale – 5 km / 1000m elev. gain
6D Bob – the “infernal climb” up the Olympic bobsleigh track
6D Kids – the race for kids
6D Aventure – treasure hunt
