“Into the wild”

∗ An all-new mountain experience

Take on the role of an explorer, braving the snow, the dark and the cold…well OK, we will make you comfortable and add a fondue with a view of Mont Blanc, no less!

Land Rover is proposing a complete experience, where guests are taken to the location in a Land Rover and can have a go at driving on snow on the way. They then settle into the shelters, one to eat in and two others for the night. The fondue forks are already in place, as are the cosy duvets.

Interesting fact: these shelters were used during French polar expeditions.

↓ How does it work?

o RDV at 5.30pm in Plagne Bellecôte with your pyjamas and a small toiletries bag at the Jaguar Land Rover test centre,

o You start off with a test drive in the Land Rover alongside a professional instructor up to the site where the shelters are, far from the hubbub of the resort,

o The guests settle in and get comfortable and (if they have taken this option) get out the fondue set! The instructor heads off after giving them his recommendations for having a great evening. Before leaving, he brings out a breakfast basket with local products (La Plagne brioche, chocolate from Albertville, and Savoie apple juice). The guests spend the evening and night on their own, with a telephone number to contact a manager if need be, at any hour of the day or night!

o The instructor comes back the next morning at around 8.30 – 9am. Those who prefer can make their own way back down.

Useful information

-The shelters have a 220V power supply and heating. There is a cafetière and wine cooler.

-The pillows and duvets are feather filled, so that “cosy” takes on its full meaning!

-On site there are dry toilets and running water. No shower, but an alpinist’s beauty/toiletries kit.
